A Day in the Masiphumelele Wound Dressing Clinic

Our sophisticated numerical waiting system. It's first come first serve around here,  although some patients can wait for hours. The kids who are in school come on their recess breaks and have a special door knock to let us know they are there. When we run out of numbers, we just yell "Next!"

8am waiting room, soon to be full!

Boiling water burn. I see this now everyday. This is actually about 2 weeks out from the initial burn and you can see a lot of improvement in the upper part of his body where the skin is healing. We snapped this photo for comparison purposes to see if the infection on his side was getting better or worse.

What we do!

Hope you enjoyed your virtual tour of a day in my life and the life of our patients!
