Blue Orange Green Pink Purple

~Tennessee~

Do you remember the Lankford's I blogged about here? Last night Joey told me a sweet story about their family that made my heart melt.

As he was tucking 3-year-old Baron into bed the other night, he prayed with Baron as he always does. In Joe's prayer that night he said:

"Lord, as my son Baron sleeps tonight may he know that his dad loves him...

and that Jesus loves him.

May he know that Jesus loved him so much...

that He came to earth...

died on a cross....

and is coming back again someday to get him....

and take him to heaven.”

Joe said he was deep in prayer and on a roll when as soon as he prayed the part about heaven, Baron started giggling, interrupted Joey and said,

“Dad… Can Jesus just take me to Tennessee?”

You can take the boy out of the county... but...

Well you know the rest :)
