My little window garden. I wouldn't say it's thriving, but at least it's cute. Maybe it's making a little bit of extra oxygen here in my little apartment. Plus I thought those little jars were too cute.
The name of this bug spray says it all. DOOM is what I'm wishing on the 10,000 plus ants that have invaded my flat. Apparently ant invasions happen every winter all over the cape, so it's not just my place. One guy went home to the States with ants living in his computer!!! I now have a twice daily routine of kill/clean which is working pretty well. I do wonder though if I'm breathing in this stuff, does that spell DOOM for me?
My electric "fin" oil-filled radiator. This baby puts out the heat and I LOVE it! Thanks Tamsin & Gran!
Super C's. These little candies or "sweeties" as they call them here are addicting. What's funny is that they are made by Kraft, but I doubt I've ever seen them in the states. They taste like soft orange tic-tacs and have lots o' Vit C! Love love!
Also thanks to Tam's Gran I finally have proper "filter" coffee! My inherited french press was actually made in France, which makes it way more authentic in my opinion! I may have made audible noises when I drank my first cup of proper joe since I've been here...
My UCT t-shirt. I had to have something that said Cape Town and this felt less "touristy" than some others I'd seen. I'm sportin' and supportin' like a local!
Milo malted chocolate cereal. Despite what the box says, this has absolutely no nutritional value whatsoever. BUT it makes me feel like a seven-year-old watching cartoons on Saturday mornings, so I have a bowl every now and then just for sentimentality and to get my chocolate fix. Similar to Cocoa Puffs but with more crunch and less puff. Yummo.
That's it for today :) Be sure to stay tuned for more riveting and thrill inducing posts such as this one... hehehe.
