Paris: Day Five

I sat yesterday and watched the sunset from across a pond in the Jardin des Tuileries in front of the Lourve. The weather has been especially beautiful the past two days and I didn't even need a coat! There were a thousand or so people out and about the Jardin des Tuileries, and it was delightful to sit and enjoy such a beautiful place with so many others.

Today after the perfect cup of coffee with Emily at La Cafeo Theque, she went to work I went off to the Musee Rodin. What a great place. Hosted at Rodin's former home, he donated every piece of art to the musuem. Many famous sculptures are housed here: below are a few of my favorites. As I've already said, I'm a sucker for passionate sculpture work, so I could have stayed in the Rodin for days.

Rodin The Kiss

Aristide Maillol, Nuit, 1909

Rodin The Dancer

Camille Claudel
The Waltz, 1899-1905

Rodin The Thinker

Off to Versailles today!
